Walk in Love

“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” Ephesians 5:2
  • Do you walk in Love?

It’s perhaps the greatest challenge to all Christians:

“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35 (NIV)

We are called to love one another. Let’s be honest – we don’t always get it right! But when we don’t we always try to put it right.

  • Do you walk in Love?

But it’s not just about loving one another, we are also called to “love your neighbour as yourself.” Matthew 22:39 (NIV)

How do we do that? Matthew 25:35-36 (NIV) says: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

If we walk in love, we help those who are in need in our community and our neighbourhood.

  • Do you walk in Love?

Not only do we have the great command (to love God and love your neighbour) but we also have the great commission:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” Mark 16:15

If we truly walk in love, surely we have a duty to tell people the Good News – the Gospel – that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
