According to Wikipedia – Christian revival, revival is:
A Christian revival, or revivalism, is increased spiritual interest or renewal in the life of a church congregation or society, with a local, national or global effect. This should be distinguished from the use of the term “revival” to refer to an evangelistic meeting or series of meetings (see Revival meeting).
We are passionate about revival at Sure Hope Church, and for many years have held a “WildFires!” revival meeting on the first Saturday of the month. In the summer of 2014, we held our first WildFires! Revival Conference.
Don’t miss this year’s “WildFires Revival Conference” from 25 – 28 August, with special speakers Michael Marcel (author of “Prepare for Revival”) and Dick Funnell, formerly from the USA but has been living in Cardigan, West Wales for over 10 years. He came over to Wales in obedience to a word he and his wife Gladys received from the Lord – to move to Cardigan in Wales and pray for the great Revival that is coming.
These are exciting times – the Conference includes a visit to Penuel Chapel, Rhosllanerchrugog, near Wrexham – a revival chapel in 1904. We will also be visiting the Mary Jones museum in Bala. The costs of the conference include lunch on Friday and Saturday, and the costs of coach travel to each location. Each night we will hold a celebration “WildFires Revival Meeting”. The only expectation is that God will turn up and the Holy Spirit will have His way – miracles, signs and wonders. It has to be!
Over the months, we have seen a resurgence and a growing interest in revival, a greater passion for worship and prayer, and an increasing number attending the Saturday WildFires! meetings.
Join us to seek God’s face and pray for revival in our land on the first Saturday evening of each month – dates can be found on the Events page here.
Last month’s headline was “Glory to God” or in Russian, “Slava Boga”…. This month it’s the same in Portuguese… “Gloria Deus!” What a wonderful privilege it was for Ivan and myself to go to Brazil last month. When Graham Jones asked me if I’d like to go with him… I knew that this was the right […]
Wow! What can I say? There have been so many testimonies and e mails that have come into the office during this last week! The impact will no doubt be felt for a long time to come. We were so blessed to have such wonderful teaching, inspiring worship, and powerful times of challenge and conviction […]
Better is one day in His house, than a thousand elsewhere One day, just one day, that’s all it takes. To change a life, to change a circumstance, to save a life. Actually – it takes just a moment. Just imagine what one day on our WildFires! Revival Conference might mean to you … … […]
Is it just me, or do things seem to be getting hotter around here?! Last month we saw around 35 Brazilian pastors descending on us, spreading the fire that they have experienced in Brazil as revival hits their land. They felt they had a mandate and a mission to spread that fire to the UK […]
Walk in Love! It will spread like … I can’t actually believe that August has arrived! With all the preparations for the Mini-Conference and the visit of the Brazilian Pastors, the month of July has disappeared in front of my very eyes. But here we are in August, with the prospect of our first WILDFIRE […]
… like wildfire! Things are hotting up! On 22nd July, we have 35 Brazilian pastors arriving at Sure Hope Church for a “mini” WildFires! Revival Conference. Wow! We will be starting at 09:00 with teaching during the morning, ending at 12:30 with lunch. After lunch we will be heading out to Llangefni to visit Christmas […]
What a wonderful privilege it was to visit this beautiful Chapel last week. I went along with Richard Parkhouse and met up with Mr. Davies, the present secretary of Penuel Chapel. We were totally overwhelmed by the wonderful way this chapel has been maintained, with it’s fabulous woodworking, decoration and carpeting. We are most certainly […]
Unbelievable! Well, unbelief in high places. We can all struggle with our faith at times, but when the former Bishop of Edinburgh admits that 5 years into his post, he lost his faith in God, then there is hope for us all! It’s no wonder he was known as the “barmy Bishop,” according to the […]
It was great to see and hear from David Pike – Dai Bach, well-digger – at our recent WildFires! revival meeting. On the Sunday following, at our Sunday morning service, we heard again from David Pike – after hearing that we should be looking to find diamonds in our community, and when we find them […]
